ABOUT US
WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY: School with Lucinda Green,
21-22 December, 2008 click
here.
Formed in early 2002, with Sue Gunn
at the helm,
and supported by her husband Jim, well known equestrian volunteers Ken
& Pat Weekes, Wendy Simpson, Jim & Babs McSweeney, Mike O'Callaghan.
Katrina Dukats with FEI dressage judges Rachel Hunter and Vicky Brydon,
the inaugural One Day Event was held on 16th & 17th February at Sydney
International Equestrian Centre (SIEC), Horsley Park. For map of site,

Since that first event, the club has run regular events every year.
The layout of the site is such that it leads to an orderly and efficient
administration for events and, athough more costly for the riders, it
is not surprising that it continues to grow in size and reputation each
year with riders from all the eastern states coming to compete.
A legacy from the 2000 Olympic Games, SIEC comes with wonderful stabling,
dressage and cross country facilities. Overseen by Sue, additional courses
have been designed and constructed to complement the jumps left in place
after the Olympic Games and the site now caters for riders from Newcomers
through to international levels.
SIEC is also used to host the annual International CCI event for 1, 2
and 3 Star competition and although the CCI event is run by an independent
group, the designers for both work together to ensure the course is
continually being altered and upgraded. Together with the hard working
staff at SIEC who see to the upkeep of the grounds and buildings, SIEC
remains in pristine condition available for use by all equestrian
disciplines.
Sydney (at SIEC) Eventing is proudly run by a friendly Committee made
up of many wonderful volunteers. It is affiliated with the EFA
of NSW and Eventing NSW
and welcomes anyone who would like to become a part of this exciting venture
as jump judge, penciller, steward - we need all the help we can get. Click
here if you would like to join us.
It appreciates and recognises the support provided by its sponsors:
